ZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz…………..

As we all know it is next to impossible to feel healthy or happy if you do not rest properly. Medical studies have proven that prolonged sleep deprivation has serious health effects, such as memory issues, anxiety, performance and can even affect your libido in both men and women. Lack of sleep can also cause serious health issues. When your body suffers from long periods of sleep deprivation on a daily basis we create a lack of general flow in the brain which increase’s stress levels, and weakens the immune system. This puts you at risk for colds and flu. Along with the stress hormone released in the body which raises cholesterol, this can cause cardiovascular disease, diabetes, fatigue, and depression as well as anxiety.

There are many pills and serums to help with the sleep issues but not everyone can stomach these creations and they have bad side effects as compared to a simple natural cure. Usually, with ingredients, we have at home, and we just don’t realize the medicinal potential and the benefits of the herbs…

For example, 1/2 tsp Turmeric mixed w/  1 tbsp raw honey can be used as a natural antibiotic for colds and flu.

When you follow all the other natural suggestions like hot fluids and rest, this remedy can be a great benefit in healing your cold faster and preventing it from growing in your body into a severe infection. Turmeric is just one household herb that has amazing healing qualities and can be used in many natural remedies and health cures.

  1. Hey Catherine,

I love this website, it is soo important to take better care of ourselves. To actually take the time and not just talk about it. Even if its taking that extra time in the shower to pay special attention to exfoliating and not just washing. Or a long hot bath and then a make over…its the simple things sometimes that we over look. I can totally relate to all of this as I have three kids here. I love them dearly but they do take all my time and energy, I find its very important to implement self care. Not only for my own sanity but to teach them this important life skill as well. I look forward to more articles from you.

Laughter heals a mind and body as well. I enjoyed the same when my 5 were younger. Now it’s grandchildren to inspire me more.
Be sure to return for more beneficial information. I’m happy to be of assistance.

    1. Hello John

      and thank you.

Might I suggest a replacement for turmeric.?

You can use Ginger root as a replacement for Turmeric.
If you use a powdered or fresh version of either one it has the same health benefit’s and both
are incredible help as an anti-inflammatory. They both belong to Zingiberaceae, the same plant group as well.

Hope this helps until you hit the spice shop.
      Have a Happy day!

these things are available with our choices today.

I am happy you enjoyed the article.
Be sure to come back to find more.

      Have a Happy Day! 🙂
